FrymaKoruma AG was created in 2000 from the merger of Fryma AG (Rheinfelden/Switzerland), set up in 1949, with Koruma Maschinenbau GmbH (Neuenburg am Rhein/Germany), which was founded in 1958. The system serves to produce all kinds of dispersions in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors – from ointments, creams and gels, through syrups, pastes and lotions to beauty products and hair care treatments. In the pharmaceutical field, Dinex also meets the requirements for the production of parenteral, pulmonary, peroral and percutaneous drug types.

VME – Where efficiency meets production

Thanks to an ingenious combination of working tools and the number of available auxiliary systems as well as its control and monitoring facilities, the VME adapts to any product and work process.

Its application is therefore not limited to the area of emulsions, suspensions, homogenates, etc. but comprises the entire manufacturing process of a product from the filling of individual raw material components to the deaerated, ready-to-fill final product.

Frymix II – the versatile vacuum processing system for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics

With its Frymix II, FrymaKoruma is offering a system for producing high-quality emulsions and suspensions as a refinement of its proven Frymix vacuum processing technology. This processing system is the result of intensive research and development as well as permanent dialogue with customers. Its gentle and defined energy input makes the Frymix II an ideal tool for the production of products sensitive to shear. Its modular design is precisely aligned with the specific requirements of the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry.

VE – Vacuum Deaerator for universal use

The VE from FrymaKoruma is a continuous vacuum deaeration system for deaerating products of a liquid, semi-liquid or pasty consistency. It is used in the chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries as well as in food production. It usually forms the first unit of a filling line or the last unit of a production line. The VE is available in six versions which each differ in terms of their useful volume or kW power rating.

Deaeration of the highest standard

The VE contributes towards quality assurance and production optimization in many sectors — in the manufacture of paints and lacquers in the chemical industry as well as the production of ointments, gels, lotions and creams in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics area or in the preparation of sandwich spreads, mustard or mayonnaise in the food sector. As well as requiring minimum monitoring and being easy to use, it is maintenance-friendly and easy to clean, offers various automation levels and its exchangeable filter geometry allows it to be tailored to the particular product to be processed. DIL Inline Homogenizer

FrymaKoruma Inline Homogenizer DIL – the modern homogenizer solution for the highest demands

The inline homogenizer is suitable for emulsifying and suspending fluid and viscous products in the area of chemicals and cosmetics as well as in the food industry. It is based on the rotor/stator principle in a multi-chamber system. In their standard design, these machines are intended for installation in closed piping systems (inline); they can also be installed horizontally or vertically in vacuum processing systems.

Dispersion tools graded by fineness are available for this series. For example, there is one version available with a built-on hopper on the intake side and rotatable recirculation and discharge line for liquid and semi-liquid products. The inline version has a vertical product feed for viscous products with poor flow characteristics.

Annular gap bead CoBall®-Mill

Annular gap bead mill CoBall® (MS) — for the highest demands and best results in very fine grinding

Annular gap and agitator bead mills are used for processing suspensions and highly viscous products in chemicals and cosmetics as well as in the food sector. Studies have shown that annular gap bead mills enable up to four times higher energy inputs than traditional agitator bead mills. Thanks to our many years of experience and by applying the latest insights from the field of nanotechnology, we are able to present an optimal instrument in the form of our CoBall® that combines great versatility with high efficiency.

Variable and high-performance grinding tool

The CoBall from FrymaKoruma can be used to process chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products as well as in food production, and the optimum settings for specific requirements can be obtained in each case. Possible applications range from the very fine grinding of chocolate coating and cocoa mass, roasted nuts, almonds and sesame, through pharmaceutical drugs, highly pigmented pastes and lipstick substance all the way to the production or processing of paints and lacquers, heat-sensitive semiconductor coatings and other coverings, paper pulp, thermographic paper as well as applications in high-tech and sanitary ceramics, agrochemicals and specialty chemicals or the fine grinding of filler materials such as titanium oxide. Perforated Disc Mill

Perforated disc mill (ML) — variable and powerful system for the food sector

The perforated disc mill is a system for grinding and pre-grinding chunky solids, e.g. fruit and vegetables of all kinds. Depending on requirements, these mills are available with a hopper, screw or pump for integration with piping systems.

High productivity, impressive hygiene values and variable opportunities for use

Besides a strong throughput performance, the perforated disc mills from FrymaKoruma offer top marks with regard to hygiene management and flexibility. Whether for the production of fruit and vegetable juices, processing vegetables, fruit, meat and fish or recycling leather and paper waste — our product range offers the right grinding tools for any purpose, precisely adapted to the products to be processed. The innovative, single or double-acting mechanical seal is free of dead space; all parts in contact with the product are designed in AISI 316L as standard and can be easily cleaned even without being disassembled (CIP).

In the process, the perforated disc mill can be adapted to meet specific customer demands in every respect to obtain the optimum setting for the particular product. This applies to the different perforated discs and equally to the axial adjustment of the cutter blades. The system guarantees high reproducibility and scalability as well as safe operation thanks to the monitoring mechanism whose safety elements prevent incorrect operation. In addition, it is designed for CIP cleaning and sterile operation. On request it can be supplied with supplementary equipment for replacing the process tools.

Corundum stone mill (MK) — reliable processing of liquid and semi-solid materials

Corundum stone mills are used for dispersion and wet milling. Their applications range from food and cosmetics to the chemical industry. At the heart of these machines are their corundum discs which are available in different grain sizes depending on product requirements and specific production conditions.

Versatile use, tailored to your needs

FrymaKoruma’s corundum stone mills are ideal for processing mustard or sesame, nut pastes and cocoa in the food sector as well as cosmetics or chemical products such as lubricants. They can be fitted with a hopper, pump or screw in order to feed the products.

As for all other products from our company, the rule here is that the machine adapts to your needs – not vice versa. The desired grinding fineness, for example, can be perfectly set, and the right corundum disks are always available for different requirements. On request, supplementary equipment can be supplied for conversions.

Toothed colloid mills are mainly used for the wet milling of liquid to highly viscous products, if necessary with different milling sets. They are employed primarily in the chemical industry as well as in food production.
