Vertical packaging machines are high speed form, fill and seal machines, suitable for most products such as granulates, powders, liquids or snack foods. Operating with impulse welding or heat sealing systems for different wrapping materials, e.g pure polythene, cellophane, polypropylene, paper/polythene,aluminum /polythene or similar combinations.

Dosing system such as volumetric cup filler, auger filler, multi head weighers can be fitted. Programmable and individually adjustable functions guarantee maximum efficiency for every packaging process.

End Packaging Machinery – AB 600 Auto Baler

The AB600 Auto Baler is designed to be directly coupled to a primary vertical form fill and seal machine and enables one operator to manage a complete packaging station from automatic bagging to finished balers. The PMD range of automatic balers receive the pillow bags via a transfer section and inclined feed conveyor, the bags are collated or stacked as required and then packed automatically into a baler bag. The bag is made automatically from the reel on the machine. The finished LDPE baler bag is formed and gusseted on the machine and the forming part can be changed to suit product changes. Suitable products include: sugar, beans, rice, lentils, maize meal and many others. This hard extrusion machine is designed to produce crunchy cooked snacks from a maize grit raw material. The process is based on horizontal extrusion against a flange from where the soft product falls directly on to a belt. This output is then quick fried, flavoured and packed for market. Puff Maize Extruder

PMD SNACK FOOD EQUIPMENT

Puff Corn Extruder – Model C- 400 Extruder

This well known puffing extruder is widely used to convert maize grits into expanded collects which can be flavoured and packed for sale as snack food. The end product is commonly called a Corn Curl or Cheese Curl.
The extruder is of robust construction, with a complete seal main shaft bearing housing. The stator and screw are specially hardened and are always supplied with certification to guarantee long life. A set of barrel heaters brings the temperature up to operating level but shortly after, the friction generated heat from a 30Kw motor driving the extrusion is sufficient to complete the process and extrude the product though a die in a flange plate.

The extruded dry collets can be flavoured and packed into prepacks or large 1Kg or 2Kg bulk bags.

Model C-400 Extruder: output of up to 60 to 80Kg per hour of maize grits when producing Corn Curls;
